New Airport Security Shoe Scanner

I came across this on youtube, it's a shoe scanner used in airports that you step into so you no longer have to take your shoes off and put them through the machines. Its called the MagShoe by a company called IDO Security. Fox News shows it being tested at airports in Tel-Aviv and at LAX in the youtube clip. Supposedly metal detectors won't detect anything below the ankles so this is also being used at other high security locations.

that is nice, anything to speed up security is a good thing. Lets just hope that it works well!

Any security is the best thing they can do, the more they improve it, the better for all. We should have more security at any place of public transport - bus/coach stations, rail staions.

There's none on our buses and trains and I do worry at times if a certain person or group is going to do something, because they know they don't check before boarding. Too complacent.

if this thing actually works, then that's awesome! I hate taking my shoes when I'm at the airport! It makes me not want to put them back on afterwards! lol. I mean, think about it, all that linoleum? I'd be sliding around on it for days!! Cheesy
